Quickstart
This walkthrough takes you from your first sign-in to a first test environment and a first backup. Each step links to the detailed page.
You need a Google, Microsoft, GitLab or GitHub account, and either access to an existing project or an activation code received by email to create your project. Some steps require the Super Admin or Admin role on the project.
1. Sign in
Open https://app.karizma.one/signin and click your provider's button. Your account is created automatically the first time you sign in.
Details: Sign in.
2. Open or create your project
On the Your Projects page, click Open › on your project's card. If you do not have a project yet, click + Create New, enter a name and your activation code, then click Deploy project.
The project opens on its production branch, on the HISTORY tab.
Details: Your projects and The project page.
3. Invite your team
Ask each person to sign in to Karizma One once, then contact your Karizma representative to add them to the project, stating their role.
Details: Roles and permissions.
4. Create a development branch
In the project page sidebar, click + in the DEVELOPMENT section. Pick the starting branch in Source branch, type the new branch name in Target branch, then press Enter.
Details: Branches and environments.
5. Change the code
On your branch, click Web IDE: the editor opens in a new tab. Edit your modules and commit your changes. Each commit starts a pipeline, shown in the branch's HISTORY tab.
6. Deploy to staging
Drag your branch from the DEVELOPMENT section onto the STAGING section, then confirm with Deploy. Deployment takes a few minutes; meanwhile the tabs show Deployment in Progress. Once the branch is deployed, click Connect to open the test Odoo instance.
The branch needs a successful pipeline, and the number of staging environments is limited by your plan.
Details: Branches and environments.
7. Take a first backup
Open the production branch, BACKUP tab, click Create backup, choose the content (with or without filestore), then confirm with Create backup. The backup shows up in the list a few moments later.
Automatic production backups, for their part, run on a schedule configured by Karizma.
Details: Backups.
